COURTHOUSE NEWS

We here at the Burke County Courthouse would like to share with you some of the improvements that have been made in the Courtroom of the Courthouse.  With the help of a Grant Program, we were able to get new bench cushions for all the benches, and new jury chairs to replace the original jury chairs.  The old jury chairs are now in the hands of Micheal Herman who plans to place some in the Museum in Powers Lake. We are also in the process of getting the lighting updated to LED lighting and new air conditioners through the same Grant Program.

It’s been exciting to see these improvements in the Courtroom.
